The Association of Nursing Students (ANS) is the only pre-professional organization for nursing students at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  Our organization has two primary focuses: professional student development and community service.  Within the professional realm of nursing, our members strive to sculpt the nursing profession by being active at the local, state and national levels.  Our chapter is one of numerous schools recognized by the National Student Nurses Association (NSNA).

In addition to professional involvement, ANS members generously give back to the community through donating their time and commitment to organizations and activities such as the American Red Cross, Hurricane Katrina Relief, the National Kidney Foundation, the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America, Relay for Life, the Ronald McDonald House and many more.

Involvement in the academic and professional settings provides ANS members the opportunity to help lay the foundation for the future of nursing.
