With many new and familiar faces, CCF plans to continue the campus-wide battle against cancer. Our General Body meetings take place in the Student Union (except when noted) from 7:00 to 8:00 pm every other Tuesday, so feel free to visit any time or email us with questions (follow the '2010-2011 Admin board' page to the right). For more information about our group, look around the website or join our listserv by emailing subscribe-cancerfocus@listserv. unc. edu to receive weekly updates about our activities. Our mission Carolina Cancer Focus strives to raise awareness about the disease itself, including methods of prevention. Through direct and indirect service, CCF seeks to improve the lives of patients and their families both at the University of North Carolina and in the surrounding area. In addition to volunteering in cancer related events throughout the community, the organization plans its own activities to serve the community. CCF also raises money to fund cancer research and resource centers. Education, Service and Fundraising committees work in conjunction with the Administrative Board to accomplish the organization's objectives. |
