Carolina Photography Association is a student photography club at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The club was founded in 1997 and is a growing organization on campus. Members are given full access to the CPA darkroom and invited to various photography workshops throughout the year. The main goal of the CPA is to make photography a fun and easy activity for all students despite experience.
Meetings and Critiques:
Meetings are held monthly and involve a friendly critique in which students are able to share their work and get feedback from other students.
The critiques usually have a theme, but all photographic work is welcome.
Darkroom:
The darkroom is located in the back of the Student Union near the Daily Tar Heel office. CPA members are added to the key list and are able to gain access by getting the key from the front desk in the union once the member has paid their dues.
Dues:
Dues are $5 for a semester, $10 a year. After paying dues, members are given access to the darkroom.
Cameras:
Film cameras are available to be rented from the club. Contact Mary Catherine Penn (
