At Charles V8+ Performs, Secures Bid for 2010

On Friday, October 17th the Men's Crew sent it's V8+ to Boston to compete in the 45th Head of the Charles Regatta. A beautiful Saturday afternoon raised hopes for a clean day of racing on Sunday; however, the weather was anything but clean as the 8+ launched from Riverside Boat Club around 12:45 PM on Sunday afternoon. It was cold, wet,and gusty, but the crew managed to stay focused on it's priorities despite the adverse conditions. The Heels placed 16th out of 38 crews with a time of 16:34 -- approximately one minute behind the winning crew -- and secured a bid for next year's race.  For full results visit www.hocr.org/results/results.asp.

The Crew sends a special thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Kowalski and Susan Rice for their warm hospitality over the weekend; the continued support of parents and friends is an invaluable asset to the team. Thanks again!
