Crew Travels to Occoquan Chase in VA

This Sunday the Crew will be departing for Fairfax, Virginia to compete in the 2009 Occoquan Chase. We are very excited to put into practice all of the skills we have been rehersing over the past couple of months.

Here is a link to the regatta website as well. As always, the Crew enjoys seeing friends and family come out to support us as we travel arcross the country representing UNC. Don't miss out on this opportunity to watch the Heels in action; the Chase promises a great venue, and we promise you some exciting racing!

Crew Featured on DTH Campus Rec Report

The Men's Crew is officially the first team to be covered by the new DTH Campus Recreation Report.  The report is a user content driven website that allows all club and intramural sports teams to post schedules, scores and stats online.  They will also cover "newsworthy events" such as the crew's defeat of NC State and Duke.

Fall 2009 Schedule Announced

Welcome Back!

The UNC Men's Crew has just released its fall racing schedule for the 2009 season.  The varsity crew is back on the water preparing for some big races at the Head of the Charles Regatta as well as the Occoquan Chace and the Head of the Hooch.

The novice team has also been assembled and begun practicing on University Lake.  The novices are looking forward to their first races and a high level of competition this fall.

We hope to see you at each of our races this season.  If you are a parent of a rower, be sure to use the parents' message board to coordinate travel, accomodations, and food for any regattas you plan to attend.

SCHEDULE

September 26: Pairs/Fours Scrimmage with Duke and NC State

October 3: PARENT'S WEEKEND AT UNIVERSITY LAKE

October 11: Occoquan Chase

October 18: Head of the Charles (V8+ only)

November 7: Head of the Hooch

November 14: Dual Race with UMD
