11/15/2010 Club Party 

Just a reminder that the club will be having their a celebration at Sensei's house to celebrate everyone's success through the camp and Kyu Test. This event will be happening Novermber 20th. If you are able to attend please tell me,Jen or Sensei by Thursday's practice and if you can bring something along for everyone to enjoy.

9/24/2010 Dues & Insurance Forms 

Dues are $40 for all club members and i will be bring the insurance forms on Tuesday. Please bring those in sooner than later.

8/19/2010 Upcoming Semester & Announcments

For all student club members we will doing the fall fest event this Sunday starting from 8 pm to 2 am. Come by to help us man the table or just for support in general.

Also practice will be resuming August 24th @ the back of Woolen Gym

Tues: 7-9 pm

Thurs: 8-10 pm

 New Student practice will officially be starting Tuesday, August 31st so feel free to tell your friends to come along.

4/27/2010 Thursday Practice & Beyond 

Next practice will be held on the soccer fields @ 7 pm(bring shoes just in case).

Practice for next week will all be held in the student union from 7 pm to 9pm until July 23.

4/6/2010 Pizza Next Tuesday 

Hey Everyone,

Next Tues we will be ending practice an hour early to head out to Brixx for our end of the year dinner. It will be covered mostly by the club(bring maybe $5) and email the listserv if you need a ride. 

3/17/2010 Spring Clinic & Such 

Just a reminder This Friday is the Spring Camp will be happening 6 pm at the SRC Studio A.

the spring clinic will be 6-7;15 pm and the belt test will be the rest of that time

Also, sensei would like everyone to attend the spring clinic(even if they aren't testing). also we will be having a dinner afterwards and if you need rides let me,jen, or sensei know.

3/3/2010 Spring Break Practices 

For this upcoming Spring Break We will be practicing this coming Saturday and the next one @ the same location from 1-3 pm @ Fetzer Fencing Room 07. We will also have practice on Tuesday @ the Fetzer Fencing Room 07 from 6:30-8 pm.

 March 6th Saturday 1-3 pm

March 9th Tuesday 6:30-8 pm

March 13th Saturday 1-3 pm 

 2/17/2010 Updates

Just reminders:

-Cost for the belt test: $25 for green and above(with annual dues paid) & $35 for yellow and orange(due to the clubs covering of the annual dues)

-The belt test is March 19th,  it will consist of a training session from 6-7:15 pm and the kyu test will follow afterwards.

-Practices will be held Saturday from 1 pm to 2:30 pm

-Attend practice more consistently if you are testing(if you have exams or illness absence is understandable). 

2/11/2010 Saturday Practices 

Starting this weekend to March 6th, we will begin conducting practice on Saturdays at the same location from 12:30-2:30 pm. 

1/26/2010 Spring Ahead Reminder 

Hey Everyone,

 Just a reminder that we are doing the Spring Ahead event this Thursday in the pit from 11-2pm. Come schedule yourselves for a time if you are available. 

1/16/2010 Dues, Kyu test & Pit Sitting 

Hey Everyone,

Dues are $40 for students & $50 for non-students. Try to get those in slowly, by the end of the month being the approximate deadline.

The Spring Kyu Belt Test/ Clinic will be March 19th. More details will be given in due time.

In terms of pit sitting, we are working on  participating in an pit event called Spring Ahead! that will occur on January 28th 11 am to 2 pm in the pit. Post your availability on the listserv so that can be squared away.  

1/10/2010 New Beginning

 1st practice is Tuesday at Fetzer Fencing Room 07 at 8:15 pm. 

12/18/2009 Last Day of Practice; Next Semester Start

There will be no practice starting next week until the new year on January 12th(Tuesday) @ 8:15 pm to 10 pm at the Fetzer Fencing Room 07.  Until then everyone have a safe drive home, good luck on any remaining exams, and enjoy the winter break.

12/3/2009 JKA Membership Dues

Before the Holiday Break, all green belts and above need to pay their jka dues to Sensei. The due amounts are as listed below:

Green Belt: $20

Brown Belt: $25

Black Belt: $30

Due to today's weather, todays pit sitting has been canceled. We will check Friday's weather and see if Friday will still work.

Greetings everybody, this is the new website for the club and I'll be posting updates here and in email until I'm certain people are looking here for updates.

 There will be no practice this Thursday.

Sensei is currently open to conduct practice from 2 pm to 4 pm this Saturday during Fall Break. I will bring it up at practice to see who is interested.

East Chapel Hill High Directions:

 500 Weaver Dairy Rd, Chapel Hill, NC 27514

From UNC: 15-501 to Erwin Rd. Make left on Erwin then make left onto Weaver Dairy Road.
East CHS is 1 mile from intersection on the right side.
