The Minority Student Caucus (MSC) of the UNC School of Public Health was founded in the early 1970s as a vehicle for bringing the concerns of minority students to the attention of the School's administration and for attracting more students of color to the School. The Caucus founded the Minority Health Conference in 1977 and has conducted it annually since its inception.
MSC is a student-led organization that serves the academic, social, and professional interests of minority students in the School of Public Health. We are committed to promoting dialogue around and action towards public health issues that affect minority communities in the Triangle area, and nationally.
