Congratulations to the 2008-2009 UNC Sport Club of the Year: Women's Team Handball. They are the first recipient of what will be an annual award given to the club that best represents the mission and philosophy of the UNC Sport Club program.

3 UNC Clubs advance to nationals

UNC Club Golf, Cross Country, and Men's Soccer all advance to Nationals in November.

2008-2009 Sport Club National Champions

Congratulations to Women's Team Handball, U.S. Team Handball Collegiate National Champions and to the UNC Club Golf team, the 2009 NCCGA National Champions!

Sport Club Council Meeting

Thanks to everyone who came to the last sport club council meeting, the details of the community service incentive program are now posted on the sport club website.

Sport Club Events for the Weekend of 2/6-7/2010 PDF Print E-mail

This week begins when Men's LAX battles Duke on Henry Field Thursday night under the lights starting at 7 pm.

Women's Rugby takes on NC State at noon on Saturday on Eringhaus Field.

And finally, the big event of the weekend is Men's Team Handball's big tournament against top competition from around the country, running from 8-7 on Saturday and 8-2 on Sunday in Fetzer gyms A & B.

 
Sport Club Results From the Past Week PDF Print E-mail 
The UNC Ice Hockey team faced NC State this past weekend. 
After falling behind 4-1 they rallied to tie the game at 6-6 before eventually losing in a shootout. 
Better luck to them this weekend as they take on Duke and Georgetown.
 
 UNC Men's Rugby also lost a close match, 21-18 to NC State in the final minutes. 
Nevertheless UNC still retains the State Champions crown, something to ease the pain.
