Congratulations to the 2008-2009 UNC Sport Club of the Year: Women's Team Handball. They are the first recipient of what will be an annual award given to the club that best represents the mission and philosophy of the UNC Sport Club program.

3 UNC Clubs advance to nationals

UNC Club Golf, Cross Country, and Men's Soccer all advance to Nationals in November.

Congratulations to Women's Team Handball, U.S. Team Handball Collegiate National Champions and to the UNC Club Golf team, the 2009 NCCGA National Champions!

Sport Club Council Meeting

Thanks to everyone who came to the last sport club council meeting, the details of the community service incentive program are now posted on the sport club website.

UNC Club Golf places 4th at nationals, other scores and results through 11/8 PDF Print E-mail

Defending national champions, club golf placed fourth this past weekend at nationals, finishing behind UNC-Wilmington, Coastal Carolina, and Wisconsin. Congrats on another great season!

 The Men's Ultimate team went 2-6 this past week down in Wilmington though they did pull off an upset win against UVA, a quarterfinalist at nationals last year

The Gymnastics club competed in their first meet of the season at Virginia Tech this past weekend. Casey Jenkins placed 2nd with a 9.1 and Erica Ludi placed 4th with a 9.0. There were over 100 female gymnasts at the competition.

 
UNC Club Golf, Cross Country and Men's and Women's (RAMS) Soccer Qualify for Nationals PDF Print E-mail

Congratulations to UNC Club Golf, Cross Country and to Men's Soccer for qualifying for nationals.

Golf, the defending national champions placed third this past weekend out of all the southeast teams to secure a 3-place finish in the points standings, catapulting them to Richmond, VA the first weekend of November to defend their title.

Rob Kirkland (73-75, 6th place) and Taylor Warren (74-75, t-7th place) were named to the All-Tournament team.

Men's Soccer finished #1 in their region and are headed to Phoenix, AZ from November 19th-21st to compete against the otehr top teams in the nation.

Women's Soccer (RAMS) received an at-large bid and will also be attending in AZ.
