Service
The SGHC Service Subcommittee reaches out to NC middle and high school students to increase their awareness of global health issues. We view this as an excellent way to bridge local and global issues, as well as to get young people interested in global health. At the same time, we are able to raise money for a global health cause. This project is part of a larger program sponsored by the University Center for International Studies (UCIS) called the K-12 International Outreach Program. http://www.ucis.unc.edu/k12outreach/index.html
