Community Building Committee Segment

Jesalyn Keziah and Josephine Wong talk about what the Community Building Committee does as well as their expectations and hopes for the year. They discuss the different events they hope to organize on campus in addition to their current projects. They are working with the LGBTIQ and Graduate Student communities, and in the show they talk about why they see the need to work with these communities and the steps they are taking to help these students.

Chad Anderson and Jessica Lam describe what it's like to be a transfer student and how their committee helps to address some of those issues. They highlight some of this year's goals and their excitement to work with their enthusiastic committee members. Also, they discuss details about the CEES scholarship and events to be held in the future.

In this episode, Will Thomason and Sara John, the co-chairs of the Public Service and Advocacy Committee, talk about the STRETCH Conference, Public Service Scholars, Project Homeless Connect and unconventional ways of performing service. Also, Holly Boardman and Chris Carter, co-chairs of the Academic Affairs Committee, talk about the new peer advising program, graduate school advising, undergraduate research, the Honors program and study abroad. The committee's main goal is to work with UNC faculty, administrators and students to improve the academic environment of the University.
