UNC kendo is a member dojo of Triangle Kendo & Iaido. Through this association we are part of the South Eastern US Kendo Federation and when members pay Federation dues they become eligible for promotional (shinsa) and tournament (taikai). Kendo is the art of Japanese fencing. Practices for Fall 2009 semester are on Friday nights from 6-8:30pm in Fetzer gym fencing room (room 07 downstairs). This schedule will continue until Woollen gym is open again probably. I know this conflicts with the Raleigh practice but it is the only night available to us. - Look forward to a practice opportunity with Ohta sensei (8 dan) in December. Place and day/time to be announced.
