Upcoming Events:

The CWTHC and USA Team Handball will be hosting the Women's National Team tryout in Fetzer Gym on October 14-15. The team selected at the tryout will compete against Canada for a spot in the Pan American Championships next year. For more information please visit the USA Team Handball event page.
On October 16-17, the CWTHC will be hosting its annual Tar Heel Invitational Team Handball Tournament. The tournament will take place all day Saturday and until 4 PM on Sunday. 13 teams will be attending this event, making it the largest women's tournament in the United States in recent history. Brackets and the schedule will be released soon!

College Nationals, held in Myrtle Beach, SC on April 23-25, was an amazing weekend for Carolina Women's Handball. Going 4-0 that weekend, Carolina brought home the Gold beating West Point Black 15-12 in the championship game! President of the team, Diva Desai, also brought home a new handball for being the top scorer of the tournament.
The weekend of January 27-28, we hosted our Carolina Women's Blue Cup Tournament. Teams from around the country came to Chapel Hill to compete for the title. Our Carolina team placed third behind Atlanta (Silver) and Alberta (Gold). Thanks go out to all teams, coaches, refs, volunteers and fans for making this tournament successful!
2008-2009 was a great year for UNC Women's Handball. In addition to having more girls out than ever before, we ended the year with many titles. This past spring, our Carolina team won first place in the Laura Walker Invitational in West Point, NY. We then ended the year by bringing home the National Champion title. Along with these two great victories, our club won Sports Club of the Year for the effort we put on the court and off. UNC Women's Handball is proud of and thankful to all who played a part in this great year and we hope continue building on our successes in this coming year!

We would love to have more people interested in Team Handball. You are our best advertisement. Please tell and bring along your friends to practice. Don't worry if they've never played before! If you have any ideas on how to increase our numbers, please email us and let us know!

You need JavaScript enabled to view it ). We are now practicing twice a week, immediately after the Men's Team's practice. No experience is needed to come out and practice with us. We are happy to teach! You don't even have to be a Carolina student.
