As the presence of the United Methodist Church on campus Wesley takes seriously our connection to the church. At the heart of our mission is developing students into leaders for the church and the world. To that end we provide students opportunities to gain leadership experience in all areas of church life, from worship to study, from service to fellowship. Students have occasions to learn UM history, doctrine and polity. We guide them through our Social Principles. We offer them opportunities to discern vocation, in or out of the church, understanding that any career path can be a call to ministry with the right perspective.

College is a time for spiritual wandering. We understand that too and know that students usually have to find their own way here. However, if you think your student would respond to a personal invitation, please let us know. We have a hospitality team whose job it is to be sure that anyone who wants to come to Wesley has a familiar face to see when they walk in the door.

Wesley is a special place. It is a home away from home, a place where students form lifelong friendships, a community for exploring the deep and difficult questions of life and faith. Hopefully your student will come home talking about Wesley and you can gain through their stories a glimpse of what we call BWL – Big Wesley Love.

You can support your student through Wesley in several ways. Check out Wesley Meal Plans and Exam Care Packages to learn more and stay tuned for our e-news mailing sign-up. In addition, should you have concerns or questions about your student’s university experience, please contact the campus minister. If there are other ways we can support you as Carolina parents, let us know that too with an email or a phone call.
